Mission Costa Rica

2013 Mission Costa Rica Team

January 10-17

Our first missions trip of 2013 was, by all accounts, an unqualified success!

The team, hosted by life-long Costa Rican missionary Lilian Solt, participated in a much needed construction project to build a multi-purpose facility at Camp Roblealto. This facility, when complete, will benefits thousands of families, children, refugees that visit the camp each year.

In addition to all the hard work, the team visited the nearby village of Guarari, where they witnessed the extreme poverty of the area first-hand. About 100 children from the village are able to attend the camp through scholarships.

They also had the unique experience of worshipping at Santa Tomas Church with fellow Costa Rican Christians. The church itself needs renovation work and may be the target of a future missions trip.

Won't you consider participating on this trip next year?

Calvary team members included:
Mark Ewer, Frank Henderson, Nick Kirsch, Chris, Beckie & Albion Merrick, Gary & Dottie Sterner and Beth Szilagyi
