Mission Haiti 2011
February 12-19, February 19-26
Calvary BFC sent two teams to Haiti to help build a home for a Christian family who lost theirs in the earthquake of 2010. The family is part of the staff at Christian radio station Radio Lumiere. Praise God that the teams were able to bring the house to 80% completion! The remainder of the house will be completed by other work teams in March, 2011.
In addition to the pleasure of hard work in a Caribbean climate, the team enjoyed establishing relationships and making personal connections with the local people. Although physical devastation and political unrest is still very much the norm in Haiti, God has been at work in that nation as evidenced by the thousands of sincere believers attending services at the local church on Sunday.
